(Learfield News Service/Minneapolis, MN) — Governor Tim Walz Thursday afternoon in Minneapolis, flanked by legislators, labor leaders and other advocates, signed the largest infrastructure bill in Minnesota history — 2.6 billion dollars, 1.1 billion of it from the state's budget surplus and one-and-a-half billion dollars in borrowing (bonding). Walz says Governor Rudy Perpich signed a bonding bill at the same spot in 1988, when the Hennepin Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis was last redone. 'When Governor Perpich stood here, they made a commitment that lasted 'til this day.
